Vårlys – Conduct & Safety Information for Parents and Legal Guardians

Welcome to Vårlys! We are happy to welcome families and children to our event. To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for everyone, please read the following important information carefully before purchasing your and your child’s membership.

Parents and legal guardians are fully responsible for their child(ren) at all times during Vårlys. This includes supervision, safety, behavior, and well-being throughout the entire event.

Parental responsibility:

Children must be supervised at all times

Children may not be left unattended at any point during the event.
They must always be:

  • Accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or

  • Under the direct supervision of a designated adult caregiver

Vårlys organizers and volunteers are not responsible for supervising children.

Some camps, activities, or areas at Vårlys may not be suitable for children due to their nature, atmosphere, or safety considerations.

  • Please respect all posted signs and camp-specific rules

  • Some areas may be restricted or have age limits

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children do not enter inappropriate or restricted spaces

Children should not roam freely around the event without supervision.

Camps, spaces & restricted Areas

  • Ensure your child knows how to contact you if they become separated

  • Keep emergency contact details and relevant medical information with you at all times

  • Make sure any adult responsible for your child is aware of emergency procedures

Safety & emergency preparedness

All participants, including children, are expected to follow Vårlys’ Code of Conduct.

This includes:

  • Respecting others’ boundaries

  • Acting with kindness and consideration

  • Avoiding disruptive or harmful behavior

Behavior that compromises the safety or comfort of others will not be tolerated.
